It is full-featured digital audio editing software that offers a variety of audio recording, mixing, editing, analyzing and effects processing possibilities. It provides an intuitive, easy-to-use interface and is designed for everyday use.
Features: Audio Edit Magic is an audio editor. It can record audio of course but it is mainly an editor. Mixing, effects functionalities are available too. Audio clips are displayed in the waveform mode so that the metaphor of cut and paste is applicable directly. To aid finding of precise points where these operations can be done the display functions of zoom in, out, zoom full and zoom vertical are very useful.
Functionalities start with file manipulation commands that let you create, save, open files. You can save parts of a file to create a new one too. You can record audio from any of the input devices present on your machine. Audio play is through standard controls such as play, pause and stop etc. The full repertoire of edit functions includes Cut, Copy, Delete Selection, Delete Silence, Paste, Paste From File, Mix, Mix From File. A whole set of audio formats are available for creating your output file. These include Uncompressed WAV PCM, Compressed WAV (GSM, ADPCM, DSP, U-Law, A-Law and others), MPEG2 Layer 3 (MP3), MPEG2 Layer 2 (MP2), WMA (Windows Media Audio), Ogg Vorbis, AIFF, AU, MPC (Music Pack), VOX (Dialogic ADPCM), RAW (Uncompressed PCM, U-Law, A-Law), G.726, G.723, G.721. For each of these audio formats a wide variety of format settings are available, like frequency, bit-rate, compression, number of channels, and more. The output settings can be changed before saving the audio file to disk. Apply a set of effects available. You can add presets to the effects being applied. One can save these presets for later use. Effects include Amplify, Compressor, Delay, Equalize, Fade In and Fade Out, Flanger, Invert, Normalize, Phaser, Reverb, Reverse, Silence, Shrink, Stretch and Vibrato.
